Stories with mild horror scenes and plots driven by love interests, humour, crimes of greed, jealousy and revenge served with hints of the supernatural and lots of crime solving.

The set is a cafe. It's the home base of a group of teenagers who solve "supernatural" mysteries. Pitting their wits and bravery under mysterious and dangerous circumstances, they find clues to confirm that each and every paranormal situation is actually man-made.

The café, in a previous life, was a run-down kopi-tiam. But somewhere last year, the owner decided to jazz things up: a plasma screen and a couple of second hand computers brought the kopi-tiam into the digital age. With the "new" look, the café was renamed Cafe 13... (the number being a lucky one for the Chinese culture).

Maybe it was the physical change, or maybe the name really brought luck but sure enough, the formerly sad and lonely outlet became a local hotspot. The few loyal patrons of the kopi tiam now have to jostle for tables with the new customers. Many are students. There, in the morning, noon and night. Hormone-charged teenagers who use the cafe as a meeting point, a place to hang out, to study and while away the time.

One small group made it their home away from home. They are our crime solvers known as Team 13.
